Boost Your Sense of Belonging

Welcome Back Mindful Warriors!

Today we are going to BOOST YOUR SENSE OF BELONGING. I know the last couple blogs have delved into a lot of different modalities and knowledge bases, spanning from self awareness, mindful practice tools, and as well as addressing and reframing how we know and view energy itself! I know it’s a lot, but self growth is intricate and has many levels.
Now with that being said I would like to bring the topic of COMMUNITY to the forefront. What comes to mind when we hear the word Community? How does it make us feel? What are our earliest memories of having a sense of Community or longing to belong to one? I personally always struggled to find my community. I tried in school joining various groups or searching the Internet looking for similar interests or points of relatability. No matter how hard I tried I just didn’t find a genuine fit. Therefore, I created my own.

A shift in perspective that gives us grace when addressing those very things.

Realizing this I set out to create a welcoming and accountable community of acceptance, love, and mindfulness. Inspired by my own search of belonging and working alongside women and children throughout my various careers. The seeds of what would later become Every Body Deserves Love came to be!

You see I have always had a passion of wanting to help others. This began as I worked and volunteered through the Boys and Girls Club as a youth myself. The kids needed guidance and ways to address their emotional needs. While working in the retail and fashion industries I saw the same needs. I saw and also knew all too well the toll those industries had on women’s views and relationships with themselves and their bodies. Something had to be done! We needed to come together in some way in a safe and loving place to be able to embrace all the beautiful unique qualities we have and to begin to provide the tools for EVERYONE to live a mindful and purposeful life no matter what age.

Boost your sense of belonging

  • Make an effort. The most crucial ingredient to building a sense of belonging is effort.
  • Be mindful of others. Think less about yourself while with others and make the other person or the group your focus.
  • Keep and teach an open mind.
  • Practice an attitude of acceptance.
  • Validate action.
