I’ve been creating content for a few years now and I have learned some important lessons firsthand to grow your online presence. My personal experience as an Influencer, Model, and Social Media marketing manager has allowed me to see the multiple sides of what is needed to maintain an audience’s interest and foster connection. With our society’s attention span growing smaller, it’s more important than ever to keep things interesting. The best way to keep your audience engaged and growing is by offering them content that keeps them coming back for more.
This brings me to my top 2 tips for maintaining and growing your online reach, which is by keeping your content RELEVANT and CONSISTENT!
- Consistency
Many of the most successful brands in the world have consistent messaging and content across all of their platforms. Consistency is crucial to the growth of your brand. Once a brand finds a message or identity that works they stick to it. Finding the content and messaging that works is essentially the difference between growth and stagnation on Social Media. That’s why posting regularly is an essential component to your success and growth online. If you go weeks between posts, it’s unlikely that your audience is seeing your content frequently enough for it to be memorable and make an impact. Content consistency will also help you establish your credibility and strengthen your reputation with your audience.
- Relevancy
How does relevance in your marketing message mean? It’s simply referring to how your content (ie. message, offer, products, services, campaign or brand) connects to the needs and desires of your potential audience or customers. It is what leads to a strong relationship between your audience or customer. When your audience or customer finds your message relevant they (knowingly or unknowingly) begin to build a connection with your brand. They come back for more content, they browse your website, and they engage with your online presence. It is the first step to them being a Superfan and promoter of your brand.
Meet Your Audience Expectations
You see Babes. When you are combining a consistent presence online with relevant content it helps you build a ”real”connection with your audience. This is the most significant expectation they have from you! Posting consistently, with the content or message your audience has come to identify and know you, helps you to also address your audience/customers promptly when it comes to their feedback or possible complaints. It also increases your engagement when posting regularly. Especially if you post about the same topics on certain days of the week as an example. Your audience will look forward to and expect your content.
So get to creating that content but make it consistent and relevant!
